Dear Friends,
The Bloomsburg area Christmas Bird Count will be held on December 19,
the first Sunday of the count period.
Diana McFadden is coordinating the local effort (reach her at dmcfadde@husky.bloomu.edu).
On December 1st, there will be an organizational meeting for
the Christmas Count. We will meet at Captain Jack's Restaurant along
U.S. Route 11 near the Route 80 Lime Ridge exit, starting at 6:30
that evening. We'll meet in the back of the restaurant where we will
have some tables to ourselves. Please invite other birders to the
organizational meeting so we can involve others in this very
enjoyable event. It is a great way to recruit new birders.
After the Christmas Count, we'll also meet at Captain Jack's for our
post-count tally and celebratory meal and hot beverages.
I'll give you more information later on. Thanks to Nancy Dennis
for making the CJ arrangements and to Diana for volunteering to
organize the Christmas Count this year. We would appreciate any help
we can get in organizing the count and assisting Diana to get every
local birder involved in the event.
Good Birding,
