Software Developer

The University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Biomedical Informatics is seeking a Software Developer. The Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study ( MIDAS ) is a research network that has been funded by the National Institutes of Health for the past 10 years. MIDAS researchers use computational, statistical, and mathematical models to study the dynamics of epidemic and endemic infectious diseases. MIDAS researchers have also played an important role during actual outbreaks by applying the mathematical models, embodied as agent-based simulators, to predict the effect of vaccination, workplace closure, and other interventions on the behalf of government agencies.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position A degree in computer science or equivalent field or 4 years of equivalent experience. Must be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of computer science, object-oriented design and programming in an object-oriented language. Prior experience working with Java, MVC -style Web frameworks (e.g. Spring MVC , Play!, Grails, Django, etc.), RESTful Web services, JavaScript, Python, XML , SQL , revision control systems such as Git or Subversion, and the Maven build management system are a plus. The incumbent should be able to demonstrate significant code contributions to a non-trivial software project.

Computer Programmer II

R&P is looking for a motivated individual who wants to join our team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Philadelphia Division in Philadelphia, PA. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Computer Programmer II ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of Machinery Control System (MCS) software for U.S. Navy ships. Assist with requirements definition, software development, documentation, deployment and maintenance of machinery control systems. Design, develop, test, install and maintain MCS software and supporting software products. Support configuration management and version control of software and documentation. Identify and resolve software issues through debugging, research and investigation. Provide remote and on-site support of software problems.


Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program. Two (2) years of professional experience in software development in engineering and/or control systems using C++. One (1) year of professional experience in software development using the Microsoft .NET framework. One (1) year of professional experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop, compile, and debug source code in C++/CLI, Managed C++, or C#. Must be able to obtain required Information Assurance (IA) certifications within one year of employment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SECRET security clearance is required.

Mobile App Developer

We are looking for a mobile app developer that can update our mobile app for restaurants and delivery drivers. The ideal candidate MUST have experience with phone applications and must have the ability to work with c panel, mysql, html, phone gap. You will not be building an app from scratch, just maintaining and updating as well as installations.
